Solutions Engineer/Architect

S2Technologies is actively seeking a Solutions Engineer/Architect to provide overall technical leadership and guidance for a program for the US Army. This role joins a high-performing team dedicated to modernizing and sustaining a cloud-native solution aligned with CMMI Level 3 processes. The Solutions Engineer will help evaluate, prioritize, and coordinate technical activities, with a strong focus on implementing new enhancements to support evolving Army operational needs., * Lead engineering, design and technical security activities and support the rest of the team

• Support security posture of the application
• Lead development efforts for the application
• Managing CI/CD pipelines
• Work with senior developer in planning releases
• Lead infrastructure design and implementation
• Oversee technical requirements and their execution

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology, computer science, project management or related field. The equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
• AWS certified Solutions Architect, professional
• Qualifying DoD 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II) (e.g., Security +)
• More than 3 years of experience providing IT support services, * Must live in National Capital Region
• Ability to develop application code in the application stack
• Experience with Accumulo, Hadoop, Zookeeper, and Postgres
• Experience with JBoss, Angular, Java, Springboot and Linux
• Experience with large data infrastructure systems and deployments
• Ability to produce graphics and written documentation for the system
• Ability to lead meetings and discussions with client teams, other programs and internally
• Experience with intelligence community (desired)
• Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Discipline to complete tasks while working remotely or telecommuting
• DoD background (desired)

• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
