Platform Engineer - Aws / Kubernetes / Cdk

We are currently looking for an experiencedPlatform Engineerto join a Digital Platform team responsible for building and improving robust cloud-native platform capabilities and shared engineering services.This is a hands-on engineering role sitting betweensoftware development, cloud infrastructure and platform enablement. You will work closely with engineering teams to build scalable platform services, improve automation and establish secure and reliable engineering practices.What You’ll Be DoingDesign, build and improve cloud-native platform capabilities usingAWSand modern software engineering practices.Develop and maintain applications and shared platform components usingJava and TypeScript.Work extensively withKubernetes, Helm and ArgoCD.Build scalable and maintainable infrastructure usingAWS CDK and/or Terraform.Improve and standardiseCI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps.Automate build, testing, quality and deployment processes.Work with AWS services includingSQS and SNS.Embed security, quality and compliance requirements into engineering workflows.Improve resilience, observability and cost efficiency across the platform.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure smooth integration with shared platform services.Requirements5+ years’ experience within senior engineering, platform engineering, full-stack engineering or a comparable role.Strong commercialAWSexperience.Hands-on experience withAWS CDKand Infrastructure as Code.Commercial software development experience usingJava and TypeScript.Experience with automated testing and secure software delivery.Strong understanding of modern software architecture.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Nice to HaveTerraformArgoCDAWS SQS / SNSMongoDBObservabilityCloud security and complianceExperience building shared platform services or internal developer platforms#J-*****-Ljbffr

5+ years’ experience within senior engineering, platform engineering, full-stack engineering or a comparable role. Strong commercial AWS experience. Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code. Commercial software development experience using Java and TypeScript . Experience with automated testing and secure software delivery. Strong understanding of modern software architecture. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
