Job description
To keep building out our platform, we’re looking for a senior front-end developer who is as much a designer as a builder. You won’t be handed ready-made mockups: you’ll come up with new screens and interactions yourself - with our brand style (colors, typography) as the only fixed framework - and then translate that into solid, working front-end code within our product.
You’ll work with our CTO on a day-to-day basis, and align new screens and interactions with the CTO and CEO for final sign-off.
This isn’t a role for a purely graphic designer who never touches code, nor for a developer who only builds logic without an eye for what ends up on screen.
We’re looking for someone who can conceive a good interface from a blank canvas and build it themselves.
Responsibilities
- Conceive screens and interactions yourself for DunningOnline and RecoverOnline, with our brand style (colors, typography) as the only fixed framework.
- Translate those designs yourself into performant, responsive HTML, SCSS and TypeScript, built on Bootstrap.
- Help build and maintain the DunningOnline SPA in Vue.js and TypeScript.
- Integrate front-end code for RecoverOnline into our Symfony/Twig environment, in consultation with the CTO.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of screens (load time, Core Web Vitals, asset optimization).
- Ensure semantic, accessible HTML throughout the platform, in line with WCAG 2.2 AA.
- Align new screens and interactions with the CTO and the CEO for final sign-off.
- Work closely with the CTO on architecture, planning and the quality of the front-end.
Requirements
Senior experience (5+ years) in a role where you made UI/UX decisions yourself, not just executed designs handed to you., * Strong design instinct: you can independently conceive a good, user-friendly interface from a brand style, with no existing pattern library.
- Strong, semantic HTML5 skills - you build pixel-accurate work that a colleague doesn’t need to redo.
- Strong SCSS skills (variables, mixins, nesting) and experience with Bootstrap as a CSS framework.
- Strong TypeScript skills, including working with a build/compile step.
- Strong Vue.js skills (component architecture, state management, routing) for the DunningOnline SPA.
- Basic working knowledge of Twig, PHP, Symfony and Linux for the RecoverOnline side - you won’t write backend code, but you can move comfortably in that environment.
- Knowledge of performance optimization (Core Web Vitals) and cross-browser/cross-device testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA).
- Comfortable working with Figma (or similar) to prototype your own designs, not just to read designs handed to you.
- Experience with Git workflows (branching, pull requests, code review).
- A portfolio showing that you’ve conceived and built UI/UX yourself - not just executed other people’s designs.
- Comfortable presenting and aligning design proposals with the CTO and CEO.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Nuxt.js or similar Vue tooling.
- Experience with PHP, Symfony or Twig beyond a basic working knowledge.
- Interest in or experience with SaaS products in a B2B context.
Benefits & conditions
Pay range and compensation package
- Permanent contract with CollectOnline NV.
- Based at our office in Ghent (3Square, Zwijnaarde), with the option of hybrid working under our company policy.

- A growing, ambitious team within a Belgian SaaS scale-up expanding internationally.
- A competitive, market-rate salary.
