Job description
As a Software Developer, you will design, build and support digital solutions that improve efficiency, simplify processes and enhance the experience of colleagues across the organisation.
Working closely with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts and stakeholders, you will develop applications, workflows, integrations and automations using Microsoft Power Platform and other modern development technologies. This may include Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio,
APIs and integration services that connect systems and streamline business processes.
Youâll help translate business challenges into practical solutions that reduce administrative effort, automate routine
tasks and enable colleagues to focus on delivering excellent services.
Youâll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery and design through to development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement. Youâll also contribute to technical standards and development practices, helping ensure solutions are secure, scalable and maintainable.

Requirements
Weâre looking for a curious,
collaborative and motivated developer who enjoys solving problems and building solutions that make a real difference.
Youâll have experience developing and supporting digital solutions, ideally using Microsoft Power Platform technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse. Experience with software development languages, APIs, integrations, cloud technologies and modern development practices would also be beneficial.
Youâll be comfortable working with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Youâll enjoy balancing technical development with practical problem-solving and will be motivated by delivering measurable business outcomes.
Youâll have a good understanding of software development principles, including solution design, testing, security, supportability and continuous improvement.
Most importantly, youâll be passionate about using technology to improve services, automate processes and help organisations work more effectively.

Your office base may be subject to change as we are currently transitioning between temporary and permanent office locations due to the closure of County Hall. If thisis applicableto you, you will be notified, but no reimbursement will apply in respect of travel.
