Job description

The Role as a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering modern, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure whilst supporting development teams through automation and continuous delivery best practices. You will work closely with developers, testers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitLab CI.
  • Manage and support containerised applications using Docker.
  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Drive automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitor and optimise cloud performance, resilience, security, and cost.
  • Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure solutions align with AWS best practices and security standards.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, CloudWatch, SNS, and SQS.
  • Extensive experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Proven background building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerisation.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling including CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Strong understanding of IAM, cloud security principles, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with cloud cost optimisation and resource management.
  • Strong Git version control and GitFlow experience.
  • Solid networking knowledge including VPCs, DNS, and Load Balancing.
  • Experience with serverless technologies including Lambda, S3, Bedrock, and Textract.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB and other database technologies.

Clearance Candidates must hold active SC Clearance and be eligible to work on Government programmes.
