AWS Devops Engineer

We’re currently supporting a high-profile programme seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to help build and operate the cloud platforms and automation capabilities that underpin a critical delivery environment.This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in AWS, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Infrastructure Automation, who thrives in secure, complex environments and enjoys driving cloud best practices at scale. Please note: Active SC Clearance is essential and must have been used within the last 12 months, with at least 3 years remaining before expiry. The Opportunity You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting secure, resilient AWS environments that enable engineering teams to develop, test, and deploy software efficiently and safely.Working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Security teams, you’ll help deliver the cloud platforms, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling that support successful programme delivery., * Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and shared platform services.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using industry best practices.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, automated deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.
• Ensure platform resilience, availability, and operational readiness.
• Manage configuration, secrets, and environment controls.
• Embed security best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Support incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and assurance teams to ensure platforms meet operational and security requirements.
• Drive automation and advocate modern platform engineering practices.

• Strong hands-on experience within AWS cloud environments.
• Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and production support practices.
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and governance controls.
• Proven experience delivering and supporting cloud platforms within secure or highly regulated environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Requirements

• Active SC Clearance.
• Clearance must have been used within the last 12 months.
• Minimum of 3 years remaining on clearance.
• Ability to attend a London office 2 days per week.
