Job description
The Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and launch of new products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead product development projects from concept through production launch.
- Create and validate product designs using CAD, engineering analysis, and testing methodologies.
- Develop innovative solutions while balancing quality, functionality, manufacturability, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Apply strong mechanical engineering principles to product and component design.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to bring new products to market.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering evaluations using tools such as FMEA, DOE, FEA, and 8D.
- Support design improvements, problem-solving efforts, and continuous product enhancements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering team members.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 4+ years of product design and development experience.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience designing products involving plastics, sheet metal, metal castings, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of GD&T and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, blow molding, stamping, roll forming, and powder coating.
- Experience utilizing engineering tools such as FMEA, DOE, FEA, and 8D methodologies.
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $105,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
