Lead Java Software Engineer

Allstate is seeking a Lead Java Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure solutions for our insurance and financial platforms. In this role, you’ll lead development of Java-based microservices and APIs, shaping architecture and standards while mentoring engineers in a collaborative, performance-driven culture. Partnering with product, data, and security teams, you’ll build cloud-native services that power personalized customer experiences and resilient operations. You’ll champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, and observability, and help advance Allstate’s digital transformation across a modern, hybrid work environment., * Design, build, and optimize scalable Java-based services for insurance and financial products

• Lead end-to-end development across microservices, APIs, and integrations with internal platforms
• Set technical standards, perform code reviews, and mentor a team of software engineers
• Collaborate with product, architecture, data, and security teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions
• Ensure performance, resiliency, and observability in cloud-native environments
• Drive best practices in CI/CD, automated testing, and Dev
