Automation Developer

Platform stack: UiPath as the primary automation platform, Microsoft Power Platform, Anthropic Claude, ServiceNow, and Bitbucket with Azure DevOps. The team is actively moving into agentic automation patterns, so the person in this seat will work on both the established RPA estate and the newer AI assisted and agentic build work. Position this accurately to candidates. This is a hands-on build and support role on a mature production estate with a genuine path into applied AI engineering. It is not a greenfield AI research role, and it is not a maintenance-only support seat. What the Person Will Do Design, develop, test, and deploy production grade automations, primarily on UiPath, a Build and maintain complex bot architectures including multi system integrations, structured exception handling, retry logic, and recovery patterns Troubleshoot and resolve production failures with minimal downtime, working with analysts and architects to triage incidents Extend automation beyond user interface level RPA using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and webhook integrations Compose AI services into automation workflows, including document understanding, classification, and language model calls Build on the Power Platform front end with automation back end pattern, now a standard delivery pattern for the team Contribute to a reusable library of components, templates, and integration patterns, and participate in code review against team standards Implement logging, audit trails, and compliance ready documentation for every automation deployed

1. Three or more years of hands-on RPA development experience with UiPath as the primary platform
2. Demonstrable production grade bot experience, specifically exception handling, logging, error recovery, and multi system integration. Candidates must be able to speak to automations they built that ran in production, not training exercises or proofs of concept.
3. Working knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and validation inside automation workflows
4. Current UiPath developer certification. See the certification section below for accepted credentials.
5. Experience delivering inside an Agile model, including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
6. Authorized to work in the United States on a W-2 basis without sponsorship, and physically located in the United States for the duration of the engagement Preferred Strengthens a submittal. Python proficiency for scripting, data manipulation, and API integration PowerShell for orchestration, environment work, and integration outside native RPA activities Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhook integrations, and modern integration patterns Microsoft Power Platform experience, specifically Power Automate and Power Apps Production use of AI assisted development tooling such as Anthropic Claude, UiPath Autopilot, or GitHub Copilot Exposure to agentic automation patterns, document understanding or intelligent document processing, and process or task mining Automation Anywhere or other RPA platform experience alongside UiPath Git, CI and CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog and delivery management Insurance or financial services industry experience. Familiarity with Applied Epic, Vertafore, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Workday, or Oracle Fusion is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. The degree is not a screening requirement. Certifications Required. UiPath Certified Professional, Automation Developer Associate. Preferred. UiPath Certified Professional, Automation Developer Professional. This is the current name for the credential formerly issued as Advanced RPA Developer. Also preferred. UiPath Agentic Automation Associate or Agentic Automation Professional, UiPath Specialized AI Associate or Professional, and Microsoft Power Platform certification such as PL-400 or current Copilot and agent credentials. Legacy credential note. Candidates holding the retired RPA Associate (UiRPA) or Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD) credentials will be considered.
