Senior Software Engineer

Insight Global is seeking Senior & Staff Software Engineers for a leading healthcare technology organization. This role is ideal for a production-minded backend engineer who enjoys designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and supporting scalable cloud-based systems. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in C# and .NET Core while demonstrating experience with system design, cloud platforms, observability, CI/CD, and operational excellence. Beyond technical skills, this team values engineers who can think architecturally, own production services end-to-end, make sound engineering decisions in ambiguous environments, and adapt quickly across technologies. Day-to-day:

• Architect, design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable software systems and services
• Own end-to-end delivery of major features and systems from discovery through production support
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Influence architectural decisions, technical standards, and engineering best practices
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, quality standards, and production readiness
• Ensure observability, reliability, and operational health of deployed systems
• Mentor junior engineers on design approaches, implementation, and growth
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies when appropriate for the problem

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong C# experience
• .NET Core / ASP.NET Core experience
• REST API and backend service development
• Production service ownership and operational support
• Azure experience (AWS experience also considered valuable)
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• System design and architecture participation
• Monitoring, logging, and observability experience
• Cross-functional collaboration experience
• Experience building scalable, maintainable software
• Exposure to AI-enabled engineering tools (Copilot, embeddings, vector search, AI-assisted development) - GraphQL experience
• Azure platform services (Functions, App Services, Service Bus, AKS)
• Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar)
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Observability and monitoring platforms (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana)
• Event-driven, microservices, and distributed systems architecture
• Polyglot engineering and multi-cloud experience
• Technical leadership, architecture ownership, and mentorship experience
