Job description
There are over 50,000 water utilities in the U.S.-but unlike large metro areas like San Francisco or Seattle, most rely on outdated, inflexible billing systems. For their customers, this means confusing bills and frustrating payment experiences. For the utilities, it means wasted time, manual processes, and limited insight.
At Current, we’re building the modern, intuitive billing platform that these utilities-and their communities-deserve. Join us to help reimagine how people interact with essential services like water, gas, and electricity, and empower utilities to operate more efficiently, transparently, and sustainably.
Mission
We’re on a mission to help utilities thrive in the face of aging infrastructure, regulatory pressure, and rising customer expectations.
Current empowers utilities with:
- A modern billing engine that automates complex workflows
- Real-time analytics for operational and financial insight
- Self-serve tools that give end users more transparency and control
By saving time and money on back-office tasks, our platform helps utilities focus on what matters: investing in infrastructure, service quality, and the environment.
