Job description

The Support Specialist provides technical support to internal and external clients, resolving hardware, software, and system issues. This on-site role also supports remote locations and is responsible for hardware installations, software upgrades, system integrations, and IT troubleshooting. The role applies engineering principles to system design, development, testing, and documentation, while supporting technical solutions that meet customer requirements.

This position collaborates with cross-functional teams including Development, Manufacturing, and Quality, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide first- and second-line support for desktops, networks, tester systems, servers, and

end-user devices, both on-site and remotely.

  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, and applications in line

with lifecycle policies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
  • Monitor system and equipment performance; analyze downtime and implement corrective

and preventive actions.

  • Lead and support installation of cables, equipment, and servers; assist engineers with new

system setup and testing.

  • Evaluate systems and recommend improvements, repairs, and root cause solutions to

enhance reliability.

  • Participate in IT projects, recommending technology solutions and process improvements.
  • Develop maintenance and testing procedures; ensure systems meet safety, regulatory, and

company standards.

  • Support production uptime by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment readiness;

provide limited after-hours support as needed.

  • Collaborate on automation efforts (e.g., scripts) to improve system recovery and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in networks, systems maintenance, and IT support.
  • Proficiency with Windows 11, Remote Desktop, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,

PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including flowcharts and system

diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management
