Job description
Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA ABAP Consultant to join our SAP delivery team. In this role, you will design, develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA applications while leveraging modern ABAP technologies and SAP best practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in SAP development, SAP HANA optimization, system upgrades, and integration solutions, with prior experience supporting manufacturing industry clients
Application Business Architects are responsible for leading the transformation of a business and ensuring critical deliverables, such as business capability models, business capabilities, and value streams, are developed and implemented. Provides a point of view to clients on meeting their business requirements utilizing Package/SaaS software solutions.
This role should able to realize a business solution leveraging vendors and partners. The individual must have the solution knowledge and consulting skills to lead process improvements, œas isor to be analysis on business processes andor or IT and can advise clients on the implementation of one or more package modules. This role may also be responsible for workshop facilitation, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Certifications: Maintain certifications on Saas or Package Based solution and relevant methodology
Your Role
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions.
- Develop and enhance SAP objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).
- Build and support SAP UI5, Fiori, OData Services, CDS Views, RAP, and ABAP on HANA solutions.
- Perform SAP system upgrade activities, including SPDD and SPAU remediation.
- Develop APIs, integrations, IDOCs, BAPIs, BADIs, and custom enhancements.
- Optimize existing SAP programs through performance analysis, debugging, and tuning.
- Collaborate with functional teams across SAP modules including SD, MM, FI, and PP.
- Participate in unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for SAP applications.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards, coding best practices, and Clean Core principles.
Requirements
- 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Classical & Interactive Reports
- Module Pool Programming
- ALV Reporting
- Smart Forms
- Adobe Forms
- BADI/BAPI Development
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP UI5
- SAP Fiori
- OData Services
- CDS Views
- RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- Expertise in ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views and AMDPs.
- Experience supporting SAP upgrades, including SPDD and SPAU activities.
- Strong experience developing and supporting RICEFW objects.
- Experience with SAP Workflows, IDOCs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Integrations.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning capabilities.
- Working knowledge of SAP functional modules including SD, MM, FI, and PP.
- Experience working in Manufacturing industry environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within global delivery teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with REST APIs and advanced OData integrations.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA Clean Core concepts and extensibility strategies.
- SAP Certification.
- Experience with modern SAP development frameworks and cloud-ready architectures.
Benefits & conditions
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$82,082- $193,440
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
