Software Engineer

Support migration of a software development network to an AWS GovCloud-based system, including pipeline setup and development environment configuration. Daily collaboration and communication will occur within the software development environment., * Support migration of a software development network to an AWS GovCloud-based system

• Establish software development pipelines
• Configure development environments
• Collaborate and communicate daily within the software development environment

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or another Engineering or Science-related STEM discipline
• 3+ years of experience with AWS GovCloud, Bash scripting, and GitLab in a pipeline environment
• Minimum 5 years of experience with C++ and Python
• Expert-level experience with AWS GovCloud, Bash scripting, GitLab, including pipelines and YAML, Nexus, and Artifactory
• Proficiency with Python
• Linux-based software development experience
• Ability to work well on teams as a self-starter
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

• Preferred Skills
• Expert-level experience with Jira
• Proficiency with C++11
• Experience in object-oriented software development
• Background using CMake
• Practitioner experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable participating in a daily collaborative environment, including occasional pair programming
• Fluent practitioner of company development processes
• Understanding of Agile product development concepts
• Proficiency in developing software estimates
• Comfortable offering improvement ideas to foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement
• Proficiency with Ada for software testing
• Experience troubleshooting GitLab pipelines
• Background with Ada
• Familiarity with the Green Hills compiler for Ada
• Experience using AUnit for Ada unit testing
• Knowledge of Gnatmake
• Experience with VectorCAST, CppUnit, and Gcov/Gcovr
