Job description

A global retail business is looking for a Full Stack Python Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on role building and maintaining customer-facing and internal platforms, working across the full stack with a Python-based backend. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week required on-site at the client’s London office., * Design, build and maintain full stack web applications with a Python backend

  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs
  • Work across both backend services and frontend interfaces
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA and other engineers
  • Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
  • Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making within the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack in a production environment

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer with Python (Django or Flask)
  • Experience with JavaScript and Typescript
  • Solid frontend experience (React, Vue or similar JS framework)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and API design
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms is advantageous
  • Must be able to work on-site in London 2 days per week, * Amazon Web Services (AWS)
