Job description

  • Develop and deploy production applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript
  • Work extensively with Next.js App Router, Server Components and Client Components
  • Make informed decisions around rendering, caching and application performance
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues within modern web applications
  • Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services
  • Contribute across the wider full-stack environment, including backend services and third-party integrations
  • Work with both greenfield and existing applications across monolithic and microservices architectures
  • Collaborate with the wider development team through code reviews, Git workflows and other modern development practices
  • Produce high-quality, well-tested and maintainable code, This is a remote-first position, with an office available in central London when required. The company also offers flexible working arrangements, including 10-4 core hours across a 37.5-hour week, with options for part-time working and compressed 9-day fortnights.

Requirements

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with strong commercial experience in Next.js, React and TypeScript who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and working on applications at scale., * 3 years of commercial software development experience within a full-stack environment

  • Strong commercial experience with Next.js, React and TypeScript
  • Proven experience building and deploying production applications using Next.js App Router
  • Strong understanding of Server Components, Client Components, routing and data-fetching approaches
  • Good knowledge of rendering, caching and performance within Next.js applications
  • Ability to diagnose complex web application issues and understand server-side behaviour
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and backend services
  • Strong understanding of the different concerns across React, Next.js, applications and backend services
  • Experience with modern Git workflows and collaborative development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly
