Job description

You’ll work at the heart of a large-scale transformation programme, partnering with Data Architects, Business SMEs, Product Teams, and Technology leaders to design and evolve enterprise-wide data models that drive analytics, regulatory reporting, risk management, and commercial products across global markets. This is far more than a traditional data modelling role. You’ll be helping to create a connected data ecosystem that enables clients to combine market data, reference data, and alternative datasets to unlock richer insights, improve decision-making, and gain competitive advantage.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing enterprise-scale conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Working closely with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand complex financial data requirements.
  • Defining data entities, attributes, relationships, taxonomies, and business concepts across large-scale datasets.
  • Building models that support market data, reference data, analytics, risk, and regulatory use cases.
  • Contributing to enterprise data governance, architecture standards, and modelling best practices.
  • Collaborating across Product, Operations, Technology, and Data teams to deliver strategic data solutions.
  • Supporting major transformation initiatives that influence how data is consumed across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Strong data modelling experience across conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Experience working with financial reference data and market data.
  • Strong knowledge of UML, ERD, RDBMS, and SQL.
  • Experience with modelling tools such as Enterprise Architect, Erwin, ER Studio, or similar.
  • Knowledge of JSON and XML data structures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise data programmes within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, or Trading environments.

We’re keen to speak with experienced Senior Data Modellers who match the required skill set, as this is an urgent contract requirement with a fast-moving interview process.
