Telecommunications Technician II

Intermediate Telecommunications Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and systems. This role requires working independently on projects involving telecommunications devices and systems including fiber optics, wireless communication systems, 2-way radio, and other advanced network infrastructure. The technician will perform diagnostic tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of telecommunications related devices and circuits., * Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, and fiber optic cables.

Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Testing and Documentation:

• Conduct tests to verify system functionality and document findings and maintenance activities.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and stakeholders to support telecommunications projects and initiatives.

Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity., 3+ years of electronics background / experience is required.

Related military experience is a plus., Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

High School/GED, relevant military experience

Associate’s degree preferred

Preferred Discipline(s): Information Technology, Electricity/Electronics or related field.

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

$65,500 - $85,000

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
