Job description
Leading the physical, electrical, and logical integration of advanced avionics, flight management systems, communication links, and sensor suites onto military platforms
- Ensuring that separate subsystems built by a variety of defense vendors mesh into a single, cyber-hardened, and highly reliable network for mission success
- Collaborating with safety engineers to ensure all integrated systems meet military airworthiness certification standards and FAA regulations where applicable
- Creating and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs), wiring diagrams, systems safety assessments, and configuration baselines
- Authoring, coordinating, and executing rigorous laboratory, ground, and flight-test verification plans to validate aircraft subsystem interoperability and performance
- Coordinating directly with tier-2 aerospace suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to resolve interface control issues and enforce statement of work (SOW) compliance
Requirements
- Eight or more years of hands-on system integration experience within the defense aerospace or military aviation sectors
- Proficiency with MS Office products to include MS Project
Desired Skills
- Prefer Navy P-8 experience but will consider P-3 or commercial aircraft experience
