Job description
- Administer and maintain physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and enterprise storage solutions.
- Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, system patching, and remediation activities to address security risks.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Provide Tier II support for complex infrastructure and system issues.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across enterprise and defense networks.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system diagrams, SOPs, and configuration records.
- Participate in technology research and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure performance and security.
Requirements
- B.S. and 1-2+ years of system administration experience managing enterprise infrastructure, server operating systems (Windows/Linux), or virtualized environments
- Currently possess and ability to maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance
- Minimum of DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required prior to onboarding and must maintain certification while supporting the SMIT Contract
- Strong experience administering Windows and/or Linux server environments in enterprise settings.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, STIG implementation, RMF compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Jenkins, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms, enterprise storage solutions, backup technologies, and high-availability architectures.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and provide effective technical support.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
