Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer - Data Center

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer to design, optimize, and support mechanical systems that power AWS data centers. In this role, you’ll own cooling and HVAC designs, perform capacity and reliability analysis, and support field engineering teams through installation, commissioning, and operations. You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, drive root-cause analysis, and develop standards that improve efficiency and uptime. Working in AWS’s customer-obsessed, innovative culture, you’ll tackle large-scale infrastructure challenges, learn cutting-edge technologies, and help shape the future of cloud computing., * Design, review, and optimize mechanical systems for AWS data centers, including cooling and HVACPerform capacity planning, reliability analysis, and risk assessments for critical infrastructure

• Support field engineering teams during installation, commissioning, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and operations teams on integrated infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, and best practices
• Leverage data and monitoring tools to improve efficiency and uptime of mechanical systems
• Participate in on-site inspections, audits, and equipment testing
• Partner with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with AWS standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and scalability of data center designs
