Data Center Critical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Electrical Engineer to design, review, and support power systems for AWS data centers. You will develop electrical designs, perform load and reliability studies, and ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and company standards. Partner with field engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, plan capacity, and drive root-cause analysis for incidents. You’ll manage vendor deliverables, support commissioning, and provide on-site and remote technical guidance. • Perform load, short-circuit, and reliability studies for power distribution systems
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and internal AWS standards
• Support field engineering and operations teams with troubleshooting and incident response
• Manage vendor and consultant deliverables and review technical submittals
• Support factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and turnover to operations
• Analyze root causes of electrical incidents and drive corrective actions
• Plan capacity and upgrades to support rapid AWS data center growth
• Maintain documentation, single-line diagrams, and as-built records
