Job description

  • Serve as the primary SME for the NOMAD Fourth Generation Language (4GL) environment.
  • Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade the NOMAD platform.
  • Support developers utilizing NOMAD for application development and data access.
  • Collaborate with mainframe systems teams on platform stability, performance, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve NOMAD-related application and infrastructure issues.
  • Evaluate platform architecture and provide recommendations for modernization or migration strategies.
  • Assist with potential migration efforts from NOMAD to alternative technologies.
  • Document processes, standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise with NOMAD (Select Business Solutions)
  • Mainframe Administration & Support
  • z/VM Environment Experience
  • Mainframe Data Technologies:
  • DB2/MVS
  • DB2/VM
  • IMS
  • IDMS, * Experience serving as a technical lead or SME within large enterprise mainframe environments.
  • Experience leading or supporting legacy application modernization initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across development and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience planning and executing migrations from legacy mainframe tools and applications.
