Job description

Design, deploy, and maintain Amazon Redshift environments and supporting AWS infrastructure.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, database, and data platform deployments.
Monitor and optimize Redshift performance, storage, workloads, and query execution.
Perform Redshift tuning including distribution keys, sort keys, compression, and workload management.
Manage scaling, backups, snapshots, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Implement AWS security controls including IAM, encryption, network security, and secrets management.
Support AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, database, deployment, and data pipeline issues.
Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
Participate in production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, DBAs, security teams, and other stakeholders.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and incident-response playbooks.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift administration and support.
Strong AWS experience with services such as S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Glue, Lambda, and Secrets Manager.
Strong knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and database performance tuning.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Strong scripting experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
Understanding of Redshift architecture, workload management, concurrency scaling, and data distribution.
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and production incident management.
Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS certification such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Database Specialty, or Solutions Architect.
Experience with Redshift Serverless and Redshift Spectrum.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of dbt or similar data transformation tools.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and data governance.
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
