Job description

System One is seeking a AWS Full Stack Java Developer? to support the development, modernization, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise applications within a large financial services environment.

This role will work across backend, web, content management, CRM, cloud, and emerging AI technologies. The developer will build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs, develop modern web applications, support Drupal and Salesforce solutions, and integrate applications with enterprise platforms and external services.

The position operates in an AWS heavy environment and will contribute to cloud deployments, CI/CD automation, application monitoring, and production support. The developer will also have opportunities to implement Generative AI and conversational AI capabilities using technologies such as AWS Bedrock and IBM Watson.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in either Birmingham, AL, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC or Lafayette, LA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, modernization, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise applications within a large financial services environment.
  • Work across backend, web, content management, CRM, cloud, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs, develop modern web applications, support Drupal and Salesforce solutions, and integrate applications with enterprise platforms and external services.
  • Contribute to cloud deployments, CI/CD automation, application monitoring, and production support in an AWS heavy environment.
  • Implement Generative AI and conversational AI capabilities using technologies such as AWS Bedrock and IBM Watson.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience developing and supporting applications in AWS cloud environments; AWS Bedrock experience highly desirable.
  • Strong Drupal development experience, preferably with Drupal 9, 10, or 11, including custom modules, integrations, and content workflows.
  • Front end development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one major framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Experience with Salesforce development, including LWC, Apex, SOQL, and Flows.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise application integration, API development, authentication, and secure development practices.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, and automated CI/CD practices.
  • Experience implementing or integrating Generative AI or conversational AI solutions; AWS Bedrock and IBM Watson experience is a plus.
  • Experience with AEM or similar enterprise content management platforms is beneficial.
  • Ability to support production applications and troubleshoot issues across application, integration, database, and cloud layers.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Financial services or other highly regulated enterprise experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
