AI Governance Manager

As a Data & AI Governance Lead, you will play a key role in the further operationalization of the organization’s Data & AI Governance framework. You will help translate governance principles into practical processes, roles, controls, and measurable outcomes while supporting the adoption of governance across both data and AI initiatives. This is a highly visible role, working closely with business, IT, Data, AI, Risk, Compliance, and Legal stakeholders., * Define and execute the Data & AI Governance roadmap

• Implement governance processes around data ownership, data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, and AI risk management
• Support the rollout of an AI Governance framework aligned with Responsible AI principles, GDPR, and the EU AI Act
• Define governance roles, controls, KPIs, and reporting processes
• Drive adoption of governance tooling such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure
• Act as a key advisor for Data & AI Governance topics

• 7-10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Strategy
• Proven experience implementing governance frameworks in complex environments
• Strong knowledge of Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage
• Experience with AI Governance, Responsible AI, GDPR, and the EU AI Act
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Collibra, or similar platforms
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English

Nice to have

• Experience within insurance or other highly regulated industries
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, or MLOps environments
• Experience delivering AI Governance initiatives, This role is ideal for an experienced Data Governance professional looking to drive Data & AI Governance maturity within a large organization while playing a key role in shaping governance practices, AI oversight, and responsible data usage.

Full-time assignment until the end of the year, with a strong possibility of extension. Hybrid working model with 2 mandatory onsite days per week. ASAP start date.
