Data Science & Advanced Analytics

• Design and implement advanced analytics solutions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Apply techniques including machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, AI agents and mathematical optimisation.
• Develop data and analytics solutions using Python, SQL and ETL processes.
• Implement advanced analytics solutions within controlled production environments.
• Work with Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
• Collaborate with technical teams, end users and senior business stakeholders.
• Present findings and explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
• Contribute to Agile delivery and ensure technical work supports the final product.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to maintain modern Data Science practices.

The successful candidate will have more than 10 years of relevant professional experience and a demonstrable record of delivering sophisticated analytics solutions. This is a hands-on position, so practical implementation experience is essential; academic Data Science experience alone will not be sufficient., * 8+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Data Science, advanced analytics or a closely related field.

• Strong Python proficiency.
• Strong SQL and/or ETL experience.
• Practical knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytical techniques.
• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Experience implementing analytics solutions in production environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly and solve problems creatively.
• Previous experience working in Agile environments.

Desirable experience

• Scala and/or Apache Spark.
• Hadoop ecosystem.
• Cloudera distribution of Hadoop.
• Natural language processing.
• Large language models and AI agents.
• Mathematical optimisation.
