Job description

We are looking for an SAS Viya Engineer to join the Modelling & Analytics Chapter within CTO / Finance & Risk / Risk. In this role, you will deliver value within the Modelling Tribe. The domain Within the Risk domain, the Tribe Modelling focuses on managing and supporting risk modelling capabilities that are essential for maintaining a competitive advantage. As a tribe, in collaboration with COO Risk and CTO Finance & Risk / Risk, we provide state-of-the-art tooling to support a global modelling community. High-performing models enable accurate predictions, such as assessing the probability of customer default and support well-informed decisions for business and consumer lending. The team As a SAS Viya Engineer, you will be part of the Posidonius squad, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to onboarding Risk and Finance users to the SAS Viya Exploration environment within the ModelING Platform. We enable users to leverage advanced modelling capabilities while complying with regulations and methodology standards, improving the quality and efficiency of the Model Life Cycle at ING. Beyond standard vendor training, we provide tailored guidance and practical advice, ensuring a smooth and effective transition to the platform. We are looking for someone who adds strong technical expertise to the team, combined with a proactive and collaborative mindset. Who are you? You are a driven IT specialist with an interest in data, analytics platforms and cloud technologies. You have excellent analytical skills and are ambitious with what you and your team want to achieve. You have very good social and communication skills. You feel a personal responsibility for the quality of your application and its reliability, and you work together with your colleagues across your domain. Requirements

We are looking for you if you (must have): have good working knowledge with SAS Viya 4. have good working knowledge with SAS Studio and CAS actions. have good working knowledge with Azure DevOps. have basic understanding of Viya tooling for modelling (Model Studio, Intelligent Decisioning, Model Manager). have basic knowledge of regulatory risk models (PD, LGD, EAD). have basic knowledge of relational databases and data warehousing (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server). have a basic understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) principles. have basic knowledge and experience with Python programming. have good English communication skills, both verbal and written. are a team player, persistent, service-oriented, customer-focused, eager to learn, able to think abstractly, and entrepreneurial. You’ll get extra points for (nice to have): have experience with versioning using Github have experience with Microsoft Fabric. have experience with Apache Airflow. have experience with Azure cloud services.
