Data Manager - Hertfordshire | Own the School's Data Systems

A busy secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a confident Data Manager to join its support team.

This is a role with plenty of responsibility. You’ll be the key point of contact for pupil data, ensuring information is accurate, deadlines are met and senior leaders have the reports they need throughout the academic year. What You’ll Handle

• Day-to-day management of the school’s data systems
• Pupil admissions, enrolment and student record updates
• Attendance and assessment data
• Internal reporting and analysis
• Data preparation for tracking and progress reviews
• School census and statutory returns
• Data quality checks and troubleshooting
• Supporting staff with MIS and reporting queries
• Maintaining accurate records for starters, leavers and transfers
• Working within school policies around safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection

We’re looking for someone who understands how school data works in practice. Previous experience as a Data Manager, Data Officer or within a senior school administration/data position would be highly beneficial.

You should be confident with Excel and school MIS systems, have excellent attention to detail and be able to manage competing deadlines during busy periods such as assessment points and census.

Experience with Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom would be advantageous.
