Job description

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Develop and evolve a microservices-based architecture supporting critical business processes.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
  • Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Azure Event Hubs and IBM MQ.
  • Contribute to the deployment, operation and maintenance of applications running on Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, product teams and other engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
  • Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions.
  • Ensure high standards of software quality, performance, security and maintainability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Backend Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS.
  • Solid experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
  • Experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging systems.
  • Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and operational aspects.
  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to work independently in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Professional level of English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Angular.
  • Experience with Azure Event Hubs, IBM MQ or similar integration technologies.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern software engineering principles.
  • Experience mentoring developers or contributing to engineering best practices.

Technical Assessment

  • The process includes a 30-minute live coding exercise.
  • AI tools are not allowed, but documentation can be consulted.
  • The exercise will be provided through a GitHub repository with a simple README.
