Application Security Engineer

• Conduct security assessments and implement remediation recommendations.
• Evaluate and remediate KEVs, CVEs, and compliance-related security findings.
• Review and secure custom applications developed in VB.NET, SQL, and Python.
• Harden and secure AWS CDK-based Infrastructure as Code within AWS GovCloud.
• Support SA&A activities, documentation, continuous monitoring, and regulatory compliance efforts.

Our client, a Government and Technology Services Organization, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team. As an Application Security Engineer, you will be part of the Security Engineering team supporting Application Development, Cloud Engineering, and Compliance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive security mindset which will align successfully in the organization., + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 3-5+ years of application security or secure software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, VB.NET, AWS CDK, and AWS security services.
• Experience with vulnerability management, SBOM analysis, SAST, DAST, and penetration testing.
