IT Operations Technician

This temporary Sample Prep Technician role supports quality operations through accurate data entry and sample preparation in a food manufacturing facility. The position runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is expected to last approximately 2-3 months, with the possibility of being hired on after the project concludes. You will play a key role in ensuring samples are properly received, prepared, documented, and processed according to established procedures and standards. Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely data entry to support quality and laboratory records.
• Receive incoming samples and verify documentation and labeling are complete and correct.
• Prepare samples for testing following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and laboratory guidelines.
• Organize, file, and maintain paperwork and records related to sample intake and preparation.
• Assist lab technicians with routine tasks to ensure efficient workflow in the laboratory.
• Follow all SOPs and quality standards to maintain consistency and reliability of sample handling.
• Manage sample processing from intake through preparation, ensuring traceability and proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area within the laboratory and production environment.
• Communicate clearly with quality and laboratory staff regarding sample status, issues, or discrepancies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in sample receiving and preparation.
• Background in a food manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
• Comfort working with structured documentation and record-keeping systems.
