Job description
Under general supervision, provides agency management and technical support to the Department of Aging Computer Operations Department.
Essential Job Duties
- Become a subject matter expert on MySeniorCenter software and become familiar with the operations of Senior Centers and Nutrition Sites.
- Serve as a tier 1 technical support for the Department of Agingâs MySeniorCenter Software, requiring foundational knowledge of application troubleshooting and relevant certifications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues with staff, OIT, and vendors.
- Communicate with vendors and the Office of Information Technology regarding bugs/issues, custom reports, and patches/updates.
- Update and troubleshoot kiosk issues within senior centers.
- Investigate and resolve issues with Nutrition Site Scanners.
- Develop and conduct one-on-one and group training for staff for the MySeniorCenter Software.
- Assist with Data transfer between the Department of Agingâs applications.
- Generate custom and standard reports for staff, state, and county.
- Represent the Computer Operations department at meetings.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date standard operations procedure documentation for the Department of Agingâs applications.
- Responsible for resolving missing data within the Department of Agingâs applications utilizing reporting and outreach.

Requirements
Required Training and Experience Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate high school equivalency; Plus Three years of computer system experience.
(Additional education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.)
Preferred Education and Experience Bachelorâs degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
Experience in managing computer applications is highly desired.
(Years of experience will be considered as a valid substitution for the preferred education.)

Licenses and Certificates Some positions within this classification may require possession of a valid driverâs license equivalent to a Non-Commercial, Class C Maryland Driverâs License at the time of appointment.
Proof of Licenses, Certifications and Education Applicants are required to submit proof of professional license(s), certification(s), and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferred qualifications of the position. Diplomas or transcripts must show the applicantâs major field of study. Copies and unofficial transcripts are acceptable.
