Test Automation Lead - Ground Operations

• Set automation test strategy, framework design, script design, and execution approach across multiple teams
• Mentor Quality Engineers (QEs) and act as their go-to for technical support
• Track automation output and velocity across teams against allocated resources
• Build and own automation Roadmaps
• Shorten automation cycle time, reduce human error, and boost execution speed and efficiency
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and capture automation requirements

Day-to-Day Work

• Collaborate with business and development teams to shape automation test strategies
• Design, build, and maintain Test Automation Frameworks for UI and/or Services
• Run automated tests and communicate the results

• 5+ years in a technical lead role on Test Automation frameworks
• 5+ years of hands-on work with Selenium WebDriver
• 4+ years using TestNG with Java
• 4+ years delivering within an Agile setup
• Solid grounding in core Java, with practical experience on Java-based projects
• Deep working knowledge of advanced XPath and CSS
• Proven ability to author automated test scripts
• Working experience with build tools: Jenkins / Maven / Gradle
• Sharp debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
• Strong communicator and collaborative teammate who takes pride in delivering high-quality work

Preferred

• 7+ years of Java development experience
• Hands-on experience developing an automation framework
• Automation experience covering Web services (REST) and database validation, * Hands-on with GitLab
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): Lambda, EventBridge, and DynamoDB services
• Prior work in AWS environments (preferred)
• Background in Agile, especially SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments (preferred)
• Manual testing experience (a plus)
• Aviation experience or domain knowledge (a plus), * Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent formal training
