Automation Test Lead - Java & Selenium

• REST web services testing and database validation automation
• Framework development started from scratch
• GitLab
• AWS, specifically Lambda, EventBridge, and DynamoDB
• SAFe or another scaled Agile setup
• A manual testing background
• Exposure to the aviation domain

Where You’ll Spend Your Time Direction & Architecture

• Shape automation test strategy alongside business stakeholders and development partners
• Stand up and maintain automation frameworks spanning UI and services
• Architect script design and drive execution across multiple teams
• Put automation roadmaps together

Delivery

• Execute automation suites and get results back to stakeholders clearly
• Compress automation cycle time, strip out human error, and push execution speed and efficiency up

People & Coordination

• Mentor QE engineers and be the technical support they turn to day to day
• Track automation output and velocity across teams against the resources allocated to them
• Partner across functions to understand project goals and pull automation requirements out of them

• A strong core Java foundation proven through real project delivery; 7+ years of Java development preferred
• 5+ years steering test automation frameworks as the technical lead
• 5+ years hands-on with Selenium WebDriver
• 4+ years pairing TestNG with Java
• 4+ years inside an Agile environment
• Advanced XPath and CSS
• You can write automated test scripts start to finish yourself
• Fast at troubleshooting, code debugging, and getting to root cause
• Working command of Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle
• Naturally collaborative, communicates well, and holds a real standard for quality, * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems - or equivalent formal training
