Azure Cloud Security consultant

We are seeking a Cloud Security Consultant with strong expertise in Azure Security, Identity Governance, Security Operations, and Cloud Security Posture Management. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing security controls across Azure environments while ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and Zero Trust principles. Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern Microsoft Entra ID security, Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, and Zero Trust controls.
• Manage Azure RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), access reviews, and least-privilege governance.
• Define, implement, and maintain Azure Policy initiatives, security baselines, and governance guardrails.
• Perform cloud security assessments, identify security gaps, and drive remediation activities.
• Lead vulnerability management and cloud security posture initiatives using Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Wiz.
• Configure and enhance Microsoft Sentinel monitoring, analytics, detections, dashboards, and automation workflows.
• Support incident investigations, threat detection, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
• Drive security automation and operational efficiencies using Azure-native technologies.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Architecture teams to implement enterprise security standards and controls.

Experience

• 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in Azure Cloud Security.
• Hands-on experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC/PIM, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and cloud security governance.
• Experience working in enterprise cloud operations or managed services environments.

Preferred Certifications

• AZ-500 Azure Security Engineer Associate
• SC-200 Security Operations Analyst
• SC-300 Identity and Access Administrator
• AZ-104 Azure Administrator (Preferred)
