Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and test high-performance embedded software algorithms for autonomous systems.- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.- Focus on real-time flight safety and GPS-free navigation solutions.- Implement software engineering best practices, including design, coding standards, and testing.- Write well-structured, efficient, documented, and thoroughly tested software.- Participate in code reviews, source control management, and build processes.- Collaborate closely with a highly technical team in a fast-paced R&D environment. Requirements: -

Degree (ideally 2:1 or above) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.- Minimum 2-3 years’ professional experience with real-time embedded software algorithms development.- Strong C++ experience, particularly within real-time, embedded, or safety-critical systems.- Deep understanding of real-time systems, event-driven execution, and formal design methods.- Proven expertise in test-driven development and verification techniques.- Practical experience with software engineering best practice, including documentation and code review.- Comfortable working within the defence industry and eligible for UK SC clearance.- Must not be subject to non-UK export restrictions (e.g., US ITAR).
