Job description

Develop and support Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views and data-validation processes.
Troubleshoot and improve SQL queries, integrations and data processes.
Support ERP integrations, testing, deployments and system enhancements.
Monitor EDI transactions including EDIFACT and X12.
Investigate integration failures and coordinate technical fixes.
Support trading-partner onboarding, mapping validation and testing.
Work closely with business users, external partners and technology providers.
Contribute to the continued improvement of business-critical systems.
Gain exposure to APIs, web applications, Power Platform, automation, integration architecture and AI-enabled business applications as we develop within the role.

The role is suited to a Junior Developer, Graduate Developer, SQL Developer or Application Support Developer who wants to broaden their technical skill set and progress into software engineering, integrations, automation or solutions architecture.

Requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
Good understanding of relational databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial.
Experience with EDI or B2B integrations would be beneficial.
Experience with XML, JSON, CSV or flat-file integrations would be beneficial.
Experience with APIs and system integrations would be beneficial.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or ASP.NET would be beneficial.
Experience with SSRS report development would be beneficial.
A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related technology discipline would be advantageous.
