Model Based System Engineer

One of our customers are seeking two Model Based Systems Engineers to sit in Dayton supporting Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts on multiple dedicated DoD programs. This individual will leverage Cameo/MagicDraw (preferred) or other SysML-based tools to develop and maintain system models, manage requirements, and collaborate with engineering teams and customer stakeholders. Responsibilities include translating customer needs into actionable architectures and models, participating in model reviews and integration efforts, and helping define evolving Digital Engineering processes and standards. Junior-level engineers will primarily focus on hands-on model development while working closely with senior team members, whereas senior engineers will provide architecture guidance, shape modeling strategy, mentor other modelers, and serve as a trusted advisor to customers on the value and application of MBSE. Each engineer will be aligned to a single program and work as part of a larger modeling team.

Must Haves ( JR)

• Bachelors degree in related field

• 3+ years of MBSE experience

o Hands-on modeling experience using Cameo/MagicDraw or another SysML-based tool.

o Experience developing and maintaining models, managing requirements, and understanding system architectures.

• Ability to obtain a clearance

Must Haves ( SR)

• Bachelors Degree in related field

• 7+ years of MBSE experience utilizing Cameo/MagicDraw (preferred) or another SysML-based modeling tool

o Strong systems architecture background with experience defining modeling approaches, solution architectures, and Digital Engineering strategies

• Customer-facing experience with the ability to gather requirements, communicate technical concepts, and advocate for the value and application of MBSE solutions

• Experience or interest in mentoring others, establishing modeling standards/processes, conducting model reviews, and guiding Digital Engineering best practices

• Ability to obtain a clearance * DoDAF, UAF, or Government Reference Architecture experience

• AFMC or USAF acquisition/sustainment background

• Teamcenter or other PLM experience

• Active Security Clearance (preferred; ability to obtain acceptable)
