Job description

Join a local team of analytical, technical, and operational individual contributors that support our internal tools, systems, and infrastructure.
Design & develop highly efficient tooling and infrastructure to move petabytes of data across multiple systems at Walmart-scale.
Engineer large scale systems in Python, Scala, and Go while following best practices in testing, maintainability, and code health using open source software.
Automate all the things that can be reasonably automated.
Design tooling and application to be containerized and orchestrated in Kubernetes.
Work closely with multiple teams to ensure that the infrastructure delivers data to their respective stakeholders.
[Build core platform and APIs to allow data to be accessed in various ways.]
Design frameworks around data processes providing scale.
Work across stack to ensure compatibility with data engineers and frontend engineers.

Requirements

B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in a software development role.
Expert understanding & fluency with cloud systems & constraints.
Prior experience building tools platforms and APIs.
Professional experience with best security practices and standards.
