AWS Platform Engineer

The ideal candidate will have practical experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerized applications, and automated deployment processes. You will work closely with development, cloud, security, and operations teams to improve application delivery, reliability, scalability, and security., * Monitoring, Logging & Observability: AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana.

• Scripting & Configuration Management: Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, Ansible.

\n

• Version Control & Collaboration: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Confluence.

\n

• Security & Compliance: AWS KMS, AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, SonarQube, IAM policies., * AWS multi-account governance: AWS Organizations, Control Tower, cross-account IAM roles, SCPs, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited for someone who enjoys automation, troubleshooting, cloud infrastructure, and continuous improvement., n

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.

\n

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.

\n

• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.

\n

• Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

\n

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS and/or ECS.

\n

• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.

\n

• Strong scripting/automation experience using Python, Bash, or Shell.

\n

• Good understanding of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket and source-code management.

\n

• Strong understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, routing, and DNS.

\n

• Understanding of AWS IAM and cloud security fundamentals.

\n

• Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and deployment issues.

\n

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.

\n

• Experience implementing GitOps and automated deployment strategies.

\n

• Exposure to Argo CD, Flux, or similar GitOps platforms.

\n

• Experience implementing DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.

\n

• Experience with AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices.

\n

• Exposure to microservices and cloud-native application architectures.

\n

• Experience supporting production environments, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

\n

• Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, and reliability engineering practices.

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.

\n

• Work with AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, ELB/ALB, ECR, ECS and/or EKS.

\n

• Support highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.

\n

• Assist with cloud migrations and modernization of existing infrastructure.

\n

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

\n

• Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

\n

• Create Terraform modules and follow Infrastructure as Code best practices.

\n

• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.

\n

• Manage configuration and environment-specific deployments through version-controlled code.

\n

CI/CD & Release Automation

\n

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, security scanning, and deployment.

\n

• Work with one or more CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild, or similar tools.

\n

• Implement automated deployment strategies across multiple environments.

\n

• Troubleshoot failed builds, deployments, and release issues.

\n

• Support rollback and release-management processes.

\n

Containers & Kubernetes

\n

• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker.

\n

• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS, and/or Amazon ECS.

\n

• Work with Kubernetes resources, deployments, services, ingress, namespaces, ConfigMaps, and Secrets.

\n

• Use Helm or similar tools for application deployment and configuration.

\n

• Exposure to GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux is a plus.

\n

Monitoring, Observability & Reliability

\n

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking for cloud and application environments.

\n

• Work with tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK/Elastic, or similar platforms.

\n

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, deployment, networking, and performance issues.

\n

• Participate in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and preventive-action activities.

\n

Security & Cost Optimization

\n

• Implement AWS security best practices involving IAM, least-privilege access, security groups, network segmentation, encryption, secrets management, and secure deployments.

\n

• Integrate security and vulnerability scanning into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

\n

• Monitor AWS resource utilization and identify opportunities for cost and performance optimization.

\n

• Follow organizational security, compliance, and cloud governance standards.

\n

Collaboration

\n

• Work closely with developers, QA, architects, security teams, and operations teams.

\n

• Participate in code reviews, infrastructure reviews, deployment planning, and technical discussions.

\n

• Document infrastructure, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational processes.
