Director of Digital Platform Services

As a visionary and strategic leader, the Director of Digital Platform Services will spearhead our cloud engineering, deployment automation, developer experience platforms, and foundational landing zones. This role is pivotal in aligning technical strategies across the organization-driving operational efficiency, strengthening security, fostering innovation, and ensuring excellence across our IT infrastructure ecosystem.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead the Platform Services team to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions aligned with enterprise technology goals.
• Define and implement platform engineering strategies, leveraging containerization (e.g., Kubernetes), IaC, and automation at scale.
• Develop and maintain deployment automation pipelines to accelerate and stabilize software delivery.
• Drive secure, cost-effective, and resilient multi-cloud infrastructure through cloud engineering best practices.
• Manage cloud landing zones for consistent, automated provisioning and governance.
• Oversee platform operations with an SRE mindset-ensuring observability, reliability, and robust incident response.
• Champion a seamless developer experience with self-service tools and streamlined environments.
• Lead team development, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to support continuous innovation.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience in cloud engineering and operations within large-scale, complex enterprise environments.
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with deep expertise in cloud services, infrastructure, and platform operations.
• Proven track record of collaborating with infrastructure and application delivery teams to design and implement integrated, scalable IT solutions.
• Professional certifications in cloud computing, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect.
• Demonstrated success in implementing automation within cloud environments, including hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools.
• Strong background in technical project management, strategic planning, and leading digital transformation initiatives in cloud-first or hybrid IT organizations.
