Data Engineer - INTL - India

Insight Global is seeking a Remote Data Engineer for one of their simulation software engineering clients. This resource will support a large-scale data modernization initiative involving the migration of enterprise data from on-premises platforms to Snowflake. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, cloud data platforms, and modern data engineering tools.

Some responsibilities will include -

• Design, develop, and execute data migration strategies from on-premises systems to Snowflake.

• Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools.

• Profile, cleanse, validate, and reconcile data throughout migration activities.

• Develop and maintain data models, transformation logic, and analytics-ready datasets.

• Integrate and ingest data from multiple enterprise source systems.

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

• Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and integration issues.

• Support reporting and analytics initiatives leveraging Snowflake and Power BI.

• 5+ years of experience designing and migrating datasets from on-premises sources to Snowflake cloud data warehouse

• DBT Experience

• Experience with on-prem SQL databases

• SQL and Python scripting experience Plusses -

• Experience supporting digital engineering or mission focused products

• Exposure to or experience with AI enabled systems

• PowerBI Experience
