Excellent communication, presentation and relationship skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics and build consensus among business and technical constituents\n \n \nGeneral Education & Experience\n \u2022 Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience\n \u2022 3+ years designing and developing BI reports and data models in Power BI or equivalent BI tools\n \u2022 5+ years of relevant experience\n \u2022 Strong knowledge and experience of data, BI/analytics, reporting platforms and data visualization techniques and tools.\n \u2022 Experience in Manufacturing or Distribution Industry with knowledge of key KPIs & business processes\n \u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medium to large organization\n \u2022 Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities\n, u2022 Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms\n \u2022 Experience with data modeling and BI architecture design within Power BI (star schema design, DAX, Power Query)\n \u2022 Experience with modern data/BI architectures\n \n

n SunSource is a growing company looking for a highly talented and passionate Business Intelligence Developer to design, build and maintain our enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards and data models in support of enterprise value creation and business growth. This position will work closely with business and technology leaders to understand the enterprise objectives and build our capabilities in BI, Reporting & Analytical applications to support Sales, Operations and Shared Services. This role will also be instrumental in advancing our data modeling and BI architecture capabilities, including the use of Databricks, to lead the industry in the utilization of data to capture market share and outperform our competition.\n \n \nResponsibilities & Qualifications\n \u2022 Own the data available within the Reporting environment, serving as a resource for the business to understand what data and capabilities currently exist.\n \u2022 Meet with subject matter experts in different areas of the business, be able to quickly learn the concepts and business language relevant to their line of business and develop an understanding of how their data supports their business processes.\n \u2022 Ability to transform data into insight can help to improve the value of the business. Design Power BI UX - visualizations, reports, and dashboards to tell stories and uncover insights for actionable analytics via mockups and functional specs.\n \u2022 Perform BI solution development activities including requirements gathering, data model design, development & testing of reports & dashboards in Power BI. Test reports to ensure optimal user experience and data accuracy. Investigate and resolve any data discrepancies within Power BI datasets and models.\n \u2022 Partner with Data Engineers to understand the data they make available and use it as the foundation for Power BI reporting and data models\n \u2022 Build and maintain Power BI semantic data models and datasets sourced from Databricks, including relationships, DAX measures and calculation groups, to support scalable and reusable reporting.\n \u2022 Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization.\n \u2022 Facilitate and lead senior IT and business teams through challenging data issues.\n \u2022 Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.\n \u2022 Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.\n \u2022 Ability to influence and persuade, build consensus, drive and energize teams.\n \u2022 Apply superior judgment as it pertains to prioritizing work for yourself and others and escalating roadblocks when necessary.\n \n \nKey Competencies\n \n Accountability: Demonstrates an understanding of the link between one’s own job responsibilities and overall organizational goals and needs, and performs one’s job with the broader goals in mind.\n \n Collaborative Leadership: Promotes and generates cooperation among one’s peers in leadership to achieve a collective outcome; fosters the development of a common vision and fully participates in creating a unified leadership team that results.\n
