Software Developer

Leidos is seeking a Software Developer with strong problem solving and analytical skills who is detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and reliability. We are looking for a developer with hands on experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration, and pipeline orchestration. The selected will have proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, a strong understanding of data transformation, cleansing, validation, and migration processes and experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple source systems.\n, * Early/mid-level (5+ ish years usual benchmark) hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development, data integration, and pipeline orchestration\n

• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines\n
• Strong understanding of data transformation, cleansing, validation, and migration processes\n
• Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple source systems\n, * Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to be considered\n
• Must have a Bachelor’s and at least 12 years of relatable work experience OR a Masters and at least 10 years of relatable work experience OR 16+ years of relatable work experience in lieu of degree.\n
• Strong expertise in ETL tools, frameworks, and best practices\n
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python for backend and data pipeline development\n
• Experience developing and maintaining API integrations, batch jobs, and automated workflows\n
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases\n
• Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization\n
• Experience with cloud-based or on-prem data environments\n, * Experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and optimizing search/data\n
• Experience with Apache NiFi for data flow automation and orchestration\n
• Familiarity with streaming and event-driven architectures\n
• Experience with NoSQL databases, message queues, or distributed systems\n
• Exposure to data warehousing and analytics platforms\n

n The customer applies technical resources to accelerate the timely, reliable, and secure delivery of open source data, information, and insights. They require support to maintain and enhance an existing big data exploitation platform. The Software Developer will work within an agile team environment. Work will include creating Amazon Web Services (AWS)-based resources; writing, testing, and debugging custom application code; administering database services; and performing data cleaning, formatting, and other forms of data management. The selected developer’s responsibilities include:\n \n \n

• Designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines and data workflows\n
• Integrating data from multiple internal and external systems\n
• Ensuring data quality, reliability, and consistency across pipelines\n
• Troubleshooting and resolve performance and data integrity issues\n
• Collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business teams to support data needs\n
• Documenting pipeline architecture, processes, and operational procedures\n
