Job description

Our client is seeking an AI Security Analyst to help secure its rapidly expanding AI ecosystem supporting 110,000+ students, faculty, and staff. This role will focus on evaluating security risks across AI platforms, agents, data integrations, APIs, MCP servers, and emerging AI technologies while advising engineering teams on secure architecture and governance. The ideal candidate understands both cybersecurity and data/application architecture, can quickly assess new technologies, and is comfortable forming and communicating opinions on complex AI security challenges. This is not a traditional infrastructure security role; the focus is on AI, data, application, and agentic risk.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, cloud security, or a related technical security role.

Experience with AI/ML systems, LLM applications, data pipelines, APIs, or cloud-native applications.

Strong understanding of application security, authentication/authorization, API security, and cloud security.

Ability to analyze data flows, integrations, and application architectures to identify risk.

Experience performing security reviews, risk assessments, or technical advisory work.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Interest in AI security, agentic AI, data governance, and emerging technologies. Experience securing generative AI, RAG applications, AI agents, AI gateways, or MCP servers.

Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs/Agentic Applications, or MITRE ATLAS.

Knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA, NIST 800-53/800-171, SOC 2, or other compliance frameworks.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, GSEC, AWS Security Specialty, or Azure Security certifications.
