Enterprise Infrastructure Architect - Energy

BP Energy seeks a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer to design, implement, and optimize large scale IT solutions supporting our global Energy, Gas, Oil, and Electric operations. In this senior role, you will architect secure, resilient infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on prem environments, integrating OT/IT systems to enable safe, reliable, and low carbon energy delivery. You’ll lead complex projects, define standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cybersecurity, networking, applications, and business teams. • Integrate IT and OT systems to support secure, reliable Energy, Gas, Oil, and Electric assets and trading platforms.
• Lead end to end delivery of complex technology projects, from requirements and design through deployment and transition to operations.
• Establish and enforce standards, patterns, and best practices for scalability, security, observability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, applications, and business stakeholders to align technology solutions with strategic goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high severity production issues, driving root cause analysis and long term remediation.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid level engineers, fostering a culture of learning, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies that support BP’s low carbon, digital, and automation objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and security requirements across global environments.
• Produce high quality technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks for architecture and operations teams.
