Data & Analytics Solution Architect

I’m working with a leading technology consultancy that delivers large-scale data and cloud transformation programmes across central government, public sector and enterprise organisations. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Data & Analytics Solution Architect to help clients shape data strategy, modernise legacy platforms and deliver business-critical transformation initiatives.

This is a highly consultative role where you’ll work directly with senior stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, lead discovery engagements and influence the direction of complex data programmes. You’ll combine architecture, stakeholder management and delivery leadership, helping organisations unlock greater value from their data through modern cloud platforms and analytics solutions.

The successful candidate will enjoy operating at the intersection of business and technology, leading workshops, shaping solutions and guiding multi-disciplinary teams through large-scale data modernisation, migration and analytics initiatives. Projects are varied, high-profile and offer the opportunity to make a genuine impact across some of the UK’s most recognised organisations.

You will work with

• Leading client-facing data and analytics engagements from discovery through to delivery.
• Designing modern cloud-based data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
• Running workshops with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and define solutions.
• Advising senior client stakeholders on data strategy, operating models and roadmap decisions.
• Supporting large-scale cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
• Analysing and documenting complex data landscapes, data flows and metadata.
• Working closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and Product teams.
• Managing multiple workstreams while ensuring delivery aligns to wider programme objectives.
• Defining governance, data quality and best practice standards.
• Supporting testing, validation and go-live readiness of analytical solutions.
• Contributing to pre-sales activities, solution design and client growth opportunities., We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate a blend of technical capability, consulting experience and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Solution Architecture, Data Architecture or Lead Data Analytics delivery.
• AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Modern Data Warehousing, Data Lakes or Lakehouse environments.
• Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics and visualisation tooling.
• Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
• Data platform migration or modernisation programmes.
• Business requirements gathering and workshop facilitation.
• Data governance, metadata management and data quality initiatives.
• Leading technical workstreams or managing delivery teams.
• Working within highly regulated or public sector environments.

Experience with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, Spark, Data Factory, Airflow or dbt would be highly advantageous., * Data Strategy - Cloud Transformation - AWS/ Azure - Databricks - Data Platforms
