Job description
- Database Administrator with hands-on experience in enterprise database administration and production support.
- Must have experience/exposure with any two technologies: DB2, or Sybase ASE, or Mongo DB.
- Provide L2/L3 database administration and production support.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain DB2, Sybase ASE, and/or Mongo DB environments.
- Perform database administration tasks including backup/recovery, monitoring, health checks, and user management.
- Troubleshoot database issues and perform performance analysis and tuning.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, patching, and configuration changes.
- Participate in database/data center migration projects.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure database availability and stability.
Requirements
- Hands-on Database Administration experience.
- Working Knowledge in at least one of: DB2, Sybase ASE, MongoDB.
- Good understanding of:
- Database administration and support
- Troubleshooting and performance analysis
- SQL and database architecture
- Database upgrades and migrations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently in a production support environment.
- Experience with two of the following: DB2, Sybase ASE, MongoDB.
- Experience supporting database/data center migrations.
- Exposure to AutoSys.
- Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of HA/DR concepts.
