Job description
The Data Quality Administrator (TMIS) is responsible for supporting the integrity, accuracy and effective use of the Theatre Management Information System (TMIS) across the Trust. The post holder will play a vital role in maintaining high quality theatre information, validating data, investigating anomalies and supporting the production of performance reports used to monitor theatre activity, utilisation and service delivery.
Working closely with clinical, operational and administrative colleagues, the post holder will provide specialist support for TMIS, promoting best practice in data entry and system usage, delivering training to users and acting as a key point of contact for system-related queries. The role will contribute to service improvement initiatives by ensuring that theatre information is accurate, timely and fit for reporting and operational decision-making purposes. TMIS is the Trust-wide theatre management system used for theatre scheduling, waiting list management and performance reporting., * Perform routine data quality checks within TMIS, identifying, investigating and correcting data anomalies and inconsistencies. * Maintain accurate theatre, scheduling and waiting list information within TMIS. * Produce routine and ad-hoc reports to support Directorate, Divisional and Executive performance monitoring. * Support the development and validation of theatre performance, utilisation and activity reports. * Provide advice and guidance to staff on the correct use of TMIS and associated processes. * Deliver training and support to clinical, operational and administrative staff using TMIS. * Develop and maintain user guidance and training materials. * Liaise with Information Services, Digital Teams and departments across the Trust regarding system developments and reporting requirements. * Support system testing, upgrades and implementation of new functionality where required. * Provide administrative support to the Theatre Directorate. * Attend meetings as required and contribute to service improvement and data quality initiatives. * Undertake reception and customer service duties when required, including responding to enquiries and directing visitors appropriately., * Undertake regular validation and audit of data held within TMIS to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Investigate data discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor compliance with Trust policies, procedures and data quality standards.
- Identify recurring data quality concerns and contribute to solutions that improve data accuracy and reporting integrity.
- Ensure patient, scheduling and theatre activity information is recorded accurately and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
Reporting and Information
- Generate routine and bespoke reports from TMIS to support operational management and performance monitoring.
- Produce Directorate and Executive-level reports relating to theatre activity, utilisation, productivity and performance.
- Support the analysis and interpretation of information, highlighting trends, concerns and opportunities for service improvement.
- Work collaboratively with Business Intelligence and Information Teams to develop and improve reporting solutions.
- Assist in the validation of information used for internal and external reporting purposes.
TMIS User Support and Training
- Act as a specialist resource for TMIS users across the Trust.
- Provide first-line advice and support relating to system functionality and data entry processes.
- Deliver structured training sessions for new and existing members of staff.
- Develop and maintain training resources, user guides and standard operating procedures.
- Promote best practice in information management and system utilisation.
Communication and Partnership Working
- Develop effective working relationships with theatre teams, booking teams, medical secretaries, operational managers and clinical staff.
- Act as a key liaison point between theatres, Information Services and Digital Teams.
- Participate in meetings, workshops and working groups relating to TMIS, reporting and service improvement.
- Support collaborative working across divisions to improve data quality standards and reporting outcomes.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Theatre Directorate.
- Maintain electronic and manual filing systems as required.
- Respond to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries in a professional manner.
- Provide reception support when required.
- Participate in audits, governance activities and continuous improvement programmes.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent, * Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Current employee of a LAASP organisation

Note: Under current Home Office Immigration Rules we are currently unable to offer right to work visa sponsorship for Band 2 and 3 roles with a salary of less than £25,000 pa as they do not meet the UK Visas & Immigration criteria.
